Wood Scorching Workshop +
Thursday, 8 May & 22 May at 12:30pm

In celebration of Mindful in May, 101 Collins Street invites tenants to participate in a calming and creative Wood Scorching Workshop to encourage mindfulness through hands-on artistry. Guided by an expert facilitator, participants will transform a natural wood slice into a personalised keepsake by drawing with a special chemical marker and using a heat gun to “burn” the design into the timber. Each guest will sand their wood slice, sketch a design using a template or their imagination, trace over it with the marker, and then activate the image through controlled heat. The final touch? Sealing the design with coconut oil for a beautifully finished piece. This immersive, sensory 45-minute workshop is limited to 30 participants and offers a thoughtful pause in the workday — blending creativity, nature, and mindfulness.

Drawing Workshop +

As part of Mindful in May, this 45-minute Drawing Workshop invites 20 tenants to slow down and reconnect through the therapeutic practice of drawing. Guided by a professional art instructor, participants will learn to create a simple yet expressive artwork, with step-by-step support and practical tips along the way. Designed to encourage presence and creativity, this workshop offers a calm, judgment-free space to explore mindfulness through art—helping tenants take a meaningful pause during the workday and focus on their wellbeing.

Colouring Workshop +

Step into a moment of calm with our 45-minute Colouring Workshop, where 20 tenants will bring a beautifully custom-designed artwork to life through colour. Guided by an experienced instructor, participants will receive tips on colour combinations and creative inspiration throughout the session. No artistic background is required—this peaceful workshop is designed for everyone, offering a mindful escape from the day-to-day and a chance to relax, recharge, and express creativity in a soothing, supportive environment.
