101 Collins Achieves a Platinum WiredScore Rating for Outstanding Digital Connectivity, for the Second Year in a Row.

In a world where the workplace and needs of our community are everchanging, connectivity isn't a nice to have, it's a requirement. That's why we have worked with WiredScore to measure, improve and certify our digital connectivity, achieving a Platinum certification for the second year running.

WiredScore is the world’s only internationally recognized digital connectivity rating scheme, and we’re excited to announce that 101 Collins Street has once again been awarded a WiredScore Platinum rating for our outstanding digital connectivity.

This exclusive rating continues to elevate 101 Collins as one of the most forward-thinking leaders in technology across the globe. We are the only building in Melbourne to have achieved this level of certification, joining a league of the world’s most recognised buildings such as the Empire State Building.

According to WiredScore, in a survey of office workers across Australia, Canada, France, Germany, the UK and USA, “80% of employees say that it is important for them to work in a technologically advanced office. What’s more, 26% expect their office to have the latest in cutting-edge technology in place.” It’s clear that technology plays a critical role in future-proofing 101 Collins, and most importantly, ensuring our customers are able to work at their best.

To maintain this score, we’ve made a number of improvements to our digital operations; like ensuring our tenants have access to high-speed internet at competitive rates with fibre fully distributed across the building, and a landlord-owned fibre backbone, ensuring the foundation of good internet is installed across the building to enable faster deployment of services and reduce installation time for new tenants.

We’ve also honed our focus on data security  and reducing the risks of accidental damage by allocating space for our service providers secured with access control, and diverse points of entry and internal routes to telecommunications rooms to prevent single points of failure.

Our Senior Engineering and Sustainability Manager at 101 Collins John Kiff explains:

“With the commercial real-estate technology and connectivity landscape evolving so rapidly, we are continuously investing in technology strategies that will improve our tenant user experience at 101 Collins. The renewal of our WiredScore Platinum Certification will help our current, and prospective tenants, to separate 101 Collins from the competition and give them peace of mind that our efforts are foremost placed at serving our tenants’ needs.”
