What drew you to RISE?
An amazing team in one of Melbourne’s iconic buildings.
What is your training specialty? Yoga and Sound Meditation
What’s in your gym bag?
Yoga blocks and a drink bottle - I have to stay hydrated.
How do you take care of yourself physically and mentally?
Singing! Studies have shown singing is amazing for physical and mental health, and when you sing as part of a group it’s also the fastest way to build social connection.
What app on your phone would you recommend for wellness?
Insight Timer, so many amazing (and free!) meditations.
What’s the last thing you do before you go to sleep?
This is going to sound so weird - I tape my mouth closed. I recently noticed I’d started breathing through my mouth when I sleep and this can be so detrimental to our health, breathe through your nose people.
What’s one piece of advice you are regularly giving your clients and the RISE community?
Sing, even if it’s just in the car or the shower, not only will it release dopamine and make you feel good, it will increase lung capacity which will have great flow on effects for energy levels and all of your training modalities.
