What drew you to RISE?
The pursuit of excellence, a place where both performance and wellbeing are fostered.
After teaching internationally for many years, leading global retreats and teacher trainings, RISE is a place I am able to bring my wealth of experience to support the community in their health and well-being goals.
What is your training specialty?
Yoga and mindfulness.
In all my sessions, whether a strong vinyasa flow, restorative yin, or meditation, we cultivate awareness and mindfulness in our practice. Not only are we strengthening and making the body more flexible, but also with the mind!
What’s in your gym bag?
A water bottle, my notebook, a change of yoga clothes, something to snack usually, and something to smell nice. I’m all for travelling as lightly as possible.
How do you take care of yourself physically and mentally?
Physically, I balance strength training, yoga, and good nutrition. Mentally, I practice meditation, breathwork, and mindfulness.
Time in nature is something that keeps me centred.
What’s the last thing you do before you go to sleep?
I slow my breath, let the day go, and drop into gratitude.
What’s one piece of advice you are regularly giving your clients and the RISE community?
Listen to your body, honour how you feel. All parts of you are welcome in practice as we cultivate a deeper relationship with our body, our mind, and our sense of being.
